Bin collection days will change for some residents of Hornsby Shire, starting from Monday 11 November.
Affected residents will be notified directly through the mail over the coming weeks and by having stickers placed on their bins.
It is a result of the boundary adjustments to Hornsby Shire, which disrupted the previous patterns of collection.
“This is an important measure to help us improve the efficiency and reliability of the bin collection service,” Hornsby Shire Mayor Philip Ruddock said.
“It may cause some inconvenience in the short term, but its ultimate goal is to ensure a better service for all.”
Residents can visit hornsby.nsw.gov.au/bincollectionchanges to find out if their collection day is going to change.
“We know this is going to be a significant change for some and we’re working hard to make sure that it goes as smoothly as possible,” Mayor Ruddock said.
“We’re calling on residents to work with us as we undertake this transition.”
