At Arcadian Quilting, WELCOME SPRING… I imagine these rather ‘sleepy little birds’ are about to fly off into the sunshine and start enjoying the bright new days ahead.
Our quilting group will be in full swing too, making the most of a fresh start to the spring season with Children’s Quilts as one of our projects.
Andrea Blackford, the Assistance Dogs Australia representative will be visiting us in October to receive more of our donated quilts.
A cheery colourful quilt, given to a child who already has the help of an Assistance Dog can feel that extra layer of reassurance through a tactile, cuddly quilt during any number of challenging days that can be an ongoing part of their young lives.
What wonderful projects these are for us; call in and experience the ‘feel-good’ factor which we experience when these quilts are complete!!!
We meet at the Galston Community Centre, The Glade, Galston on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Wednesday of every month at 9.30am.
