Welcome back to Term 3 in ARCADIA PUBLIC SCHOOL.
Although students are at home learning until July 30, teachers have prepared engaging and meaningful learning activities and we are proud to say that all students are completing tasks. We are hoping that we are back in the classrooms soon.
In Week 10 of Term 2 we held NAIDOC week. The NAIDOC 2021 theme – Heal Country!
– calls for all of us to continue to seek greater protections for our lands, our waters, our sacred sites and our cultural heritage from exploitation, desecration, and destruction. Students were involved in a variety of activities which involved Dreamtime stories, painting clapping sticks and focusing on the importance of Country to our Aboriginal People.
Students in Years 5 and 6 have worked with our local Aboriginal Educational Officer to write our own Acknowledgement of the Country. ARCADIA PUBLIC SCHOOL ARCADIA PUBLIC SCHOOL
