Dural Bowling Club Hosts Inaugural Annual Tournament

On Monday, September 29th, 2025, the Dural Bowling Club kicked off its inaugural annual tournament, graciously sponsored by the Dural Club. Initially greeted by overcast skies, the weather quickly transformed into a perfect day for bowling, with temperatures reaching a pleasant 24 degrees Celsius—ideal for a spring afternoon.

The tournament featured 32 teams comprising 96 bowlers from various regions, including Dural, Pennant Hills, The Hills, North Epping, Castle Hill, Burwood Diggers, Pittwater, Campbelltown, North Sydney, Bowral, Harbord, Wisemans Park, Corrimal, Ettalong, Mosman, Toongabbie, Dundas, St Ives, Northern Suburbs, Brisbane, Wentworthville, and Merrylands.

Players engaged in a competitive yet friendly atmosphere, taking part in three games of 10 ends in a triples format with two bowls each. The camaraderie among competitors was evident, as participants shared plenty of lighthearted banter while enjoying the sunshine and the company of friends.

A delicious lunch was provided at the Dural Club, and the event’s success was attributed to the generous sponsorship, vital for the continuation of such tournaments. Special thanks were extended to Eoin Gubbins, General Manager of Dural Club, who presented the prizes to the winning teams.
