Revved Up at Hillside: 120 Classic Motorcycles Roll Into Hillside
Over 120 riders from 17 motorcycle clubs from around the State roared into Hillside Public School and enjoyed an epic lunch during day 1 of their annual 2-day Rally.
The Macquarie Towns Motorcycle Restoration and Preservation Club was formed in 1981 by an enthusiastic group of motorcyclists from the Hawkesbury area. The aim of the club is to promote and foster the restoration and preservation of motorcycles 10 years old or older.
Classic Motorcycle Rally at Hillside Public School
The annual rally takes in the roads and sights of the Macquarie 5 Towns precincts and surrounding areas and features awards for the most popular bikes in listed categories judged by rally participants. The Saturday night award dinner is a highlight with trophies and a King and Queen being announced, concluding with a shorter Sunday ride, which allows for interstate/country participants to arrange travel arrangements home.
On the first day of this year’s Rally, riders embarked on a picturesque route that took them through Sackville, Ebenezer, Wilberforce, Windsor, Pitt Town, Kenthurst, Dural, and Glenorie, culminating in a delightful lunch at Hillside Public School.
The parents and staff did an outstanding job of feeding the hungry horde, with non-stop praise rolling in thanks to their incredible efforts. From the BBQ and homemade quiches to fresh salads and warm soups, every detail was on point. Behind the scenes, setup, cleanup, and everything in between ran smoothly thanks to Hillside’s powerhouse community.
Events like this don’t just happen – they’re built on people who show up and give it their all. Hillside, you nailed it. Thanks to all who helped, it was a resounding success.
