While the winter sun tries to warm us and the chilly winds send us indoors to find scarves and warm cosy corners, the ladies of the Galston CWA are busy knitting and sewing winter warmers.
Mainly to donate to our local charities and also to sell on our fund raising stalls. They have discovered some tasty and amazing recipes for jams and relishes and produce some delicious provender to enjoy.
Galston CWA is a branch of The Country Women’s Association of New South Wales, or CWA, whose main aim is to support and provide for those in need and indeed the amazing ladies from Galston take great pleasure in doing so.
We welcome new members and those interested in our efforts. Should any local gardeners find they have suitable fruits or vegetables surplus to their needs, we would appreciate any donations.
We meet at the Galston Health and Community Centre, at the corner of Arcadia Road and the Glade on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays.
