At Hillside Public School, We’ve kicked off the year with a bang, welcoming our newest Kindergarten students and families, as well as celebrating our 2025 school leaders, SRC representatives and Hillside Captains. Term 1 has been full of exciting learning and memorable experiences.
From our small schools swimming carnival and the interactive Jollybops Science Show, to NAPLAN, water safety workshops, and Harmony Day celebrations – there’s never a dull moment at Hillside!
Our Years 5 & 6 students enjoyed a Leadership Day at Longneck Lagoon, while all students got active in a fantastic NRL clinic with the Parramatta Eels. We wrapped up the term with a fun-filled Easter learning day and our annual cross-country event – the perfect way to enjoy our beautiful school grounds. A big well done to all our runners, especially those heading to Zone!
A standout event this term was the High Potential and Gifted Education Day. Students from across our small schools network gathered for an incredible day of learning and discovery, engaging in different workshops including STEM challenges, escape rooms, drumming, Aboriginal art, Gunya building, soccer, dancing and even filmmaking. It was a true celebration of creativity, talent, and collaboration.
