Glenorie Bakery was established by Tazzy Pirina in 1994 at the location where Woolworths now stands. In 2005, Tazzy invited Rob to return and manage the family business in Glenorie. Rob accepted the offer and the bakery was relocated to the shopping village across the road where it remains today.
Over the past 30 years, Glenorie Bakery has earned numerous national awards including being named Australia’s Best Bakery for three consecutive years. The bakery has also been a leader and innovator with unique creations such as Pie of Origin, the Invictus Pie, the Biggest Cupcake, and the Longest Sausage Roll.
On July 20, 2024, Glenorie Bakery’s 30th birthday celebration was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment guests arrived, they were welcomed by the delightful aroma of complimentary popcorn and fairy floss. The festivities kicked off with live music featuring the talented saxophone player Orget Sadiku and beats from a live DJ.
Throughout the day, guests enjoyed a series of activities catering to all ages. Children were particularly thrilled with complimentary face painting by Sparkle Glitter Events.
Adults enjoyed the lively entertainment and the opportunity to connect with fellow community members.
A highlight of the celebration was the custom 30th birthday cake, a stunning creation that paid homage to the bakery’s rich history and humble beginnings. This centerpiece not only delighted guests’ taste buds but also served as a reminder of the bakery’s journey and success.
As the event drew to a close, Rob took the stage to deliver a heartfelt speech. His words of gratitude were directed towards his dedicated team, loyal customers, and supportive family members who have supported the bakery’s success. The moment was made even more special when Rob and his family cut the first slice of the cake.
The celebration was a tremendous success, with a strong turnout from the Glenorie community. This 30th birthday bash was not just a milestone but a vibrant celebration of shared achievements and enduring connections
