On Tuesday 31st October Students and teachers at Dural Public School held their inaugural Grandparents Day!
Excitement bubbled and the rain stayed away as grandparents were treated to an endearing welcome song by kindergarten and a wonderfully theatrical performance by the choir with a medley of songs from the musical Annie.
Following on from the performance students eagerly welcomed grandparents into their classrooms and the art room to show them all their hard work and wonderful learning spaces.
Many then ventured up to the library, where each student had both physical and digital work viewable, and to the book fair where many grandparents lovingly purchased their grandchild/ren a book to take home!
The day was concluded with a delicious morning tea and treats available at the canteen, which grandparents were able to enjoy in the company of their grandchildren in the expansive school grounds.
It was a wonderful day, with proceeds from the book fair raising almost $1000 for the school library!
