Mitchell Old is a 20-year-old Galston local taking the Sydney Theatre scene by storm by producing one of the most highly anticipated musicals in 2022!

Graduating as School Captain from Northholm Grammar School in 2019, Mitchell Old went on to study at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. In 2021, Mitchell produced his first independent musical at Castle Hill’s Pioneer Theatre – The Last Five Years, produced, directed and designed by Mitchell Old in conjunction with a phenomenal local cast, crew and band.

After this first season, Mitchell was fortunate enough to connect with Jason Langley, Northholm Grammar School alumni and internationally acclaimed theatre director.

Under the mentorship of Jason Langley, Mitchell is now producing and directing what Time Out describes as a “show [that will] shaking Sydney to its core.”

HEATHERS: The Musical is a significant tone shift from his previous work but one that he is sure that Sydney audiences will fall in love with.

HEATHERS: The Musical is the darkly delicious story of Veronica Sawyer, a brainy, beautiful misfit who hustles her way into the most powerful and ruthless clique at Westerberg High: the Heathers. Through this production of HEATHERS: The Musical, Mitchell has created countless opportunities for many emerging artists in and around the Hills area.

Running in the beautiful ARA Darling Quarter Theatre, in the centre of Darling Harbour – this locally produced musical is not one to miss! From the 8th February – 5th March, tickets are available exclusively through Ticketek. This brash and intense theatre experience is recommended for audiences over the ages of 15.

Come and support this local boy on his journey as he redefines Australian Theatre!
