The Hills Women’s Shed is an Initiative of the Positive Vibes Foundation (PVF)

We were delighted to welcome the Afghan refugee community members to our Shed. We provided them with much-needed clothes, shoes, bags, kitchenware and other items that the Hills Shire community had so generously donated.

These refugees arrived in Australia with nothing and were very grateful for the opportunity to help themselves to items we often take for granted in our good fortune.

As the refugees don’t speak English, Positive Vibes Foundation (PVF) was pleased to have worked with Tamkin Hakim, who coordinated the assistance for the refugees. Thanks are also extended to Hills Community Aid for providing the bus to transport the ladies to and from the Women’s Shed.

The Hills Women’s Shed is an initiative of the Positive Vibes Foundation (PVF). Based in our Balcombe Heights premises the Shed operates each Wednesday. It is a place where women can interact, share their stories and undertake activities/programs and workshops in a safe environment.

PVF is a holistic not-for-profit organisation that promotes positive mental health in Communities through Connections and Conversations.
