Happiness is ….. “back in our home venue” …. A lively attendance of quilting friends and a visitor or two made todays meeting in mid February just the place to be!!
Books and magazines were also shared and swapped as we gratefully settled back into the familiar routine of preparing quilts for “the local Community”.
Today we received donations of a sewing machine in great working condition and some useful fabrics which will find their way into cheery cuddly quilts for the winter. Please note …. “we no longer have Monday evening meetings”.
Our group continues on the FIRST and THIRD WEDNESDAYS of each month, meeting at 9.30am. For further information and enquires please call Carole on 9094 7749
We welcomed a new member to our group today…. and I was reminded of that old phrase “when one door closes another opens”… how true!!
These heartwarming little treasures keep popping up from busy quiet quilters who share kind and loving thoughts with children through quilts who spend many days of their young lives in hospitals.
Our work is often “low-key” and not always on public display so we would appreciate YOUR HELP please by adding your support to our cause by voting for ARCADIAN QUILTERS at the Australian Services Centre (ground floor) in Castle Towers, any time during February and by Wednesday, 31st March 2021.
A little support goes a long way when many organisations continue to struggle through these COVID days … SO a tick (thank you) in the Arcadian Quilters box would be gratefully received !!!
As well as “always” trying to tidy up my sewing room, today I tidied up my outdoor pot plant area. Gee it will soon be Autumn !!!
Today, give someone else a SMILE … share the JOY of where we live and continue to stay well.
