COVID-19 Update

We will see another easing of restrictions from tomorrow with the number of people allowed to visit your home increased from 5 to 20 along with the number of people able to gather outdoors increased from 10 to 20. We will also see food courts able to open again, with a maximum of 50 people per separate seating area.

Tomorrow will also see gyms, fitness and dance studios along with community centres able to open.

Community sport will be returning to our ovals and courts from July 1st.

If you are unsure of the current restrictions or want further clarification you can contact my office on 9476 3411 or jump online to www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19 which has the latest information on all the updated restrictions.

I dropped by the new pop-up COVID-19 testing clinic which opened in Hornsby this week. Located in the Berowra Community Health Centre, 123 Berowra Waters Road, Berowra. The clinic will operate between 8am and 3pm seven days a week until Wednesday 24 June 2020. Testing is free and no referral from a GP is required.

Health experts advise the increased testing is essential as restrictions are eased. If you are attending the testing clinic, and have symptoms you should wear a surgical face mask, if possible, and practise social distancing when travelling to the testing centre.

I have been out and about in Hornsby checking in on some of our local businesses. Many have been closed for weeks and it is great to see them back open again. I would encourage everyone to support Hornsby businesses as they reopen their doors to customers.
