On Monday 20th April a local resident walking her dogs at Hayes Oval, Galston, was stunned to see that the grassed field had been churned up by some irresponsible hoons who had managed to get through the sandstone bollards and gone to town in their vehicles.
She immediatedly phoned Council who were quick to attend and try and remediate the damage by filling in the ruts with sand and moving the blocks back into place.
This is the second incident of its kind in the local area in the past several weeks and someone must have seen or heard something given the location of the site to busy Galston Road.
If you witnessed this reckless behaviour (possibly Sunday evening/early Monday morning) please contact Hornsby Council or the local Police.
