Northholm Grammar School student Sienna Arena-Milne and her year 11 peers are on a fundraising mission, to raise $30,000 for Camp Quality. Camp Quality gives children (0-15 years) facing cancer a chance “to be kids again” by providing fun opportunities outside of hospital.
“COVID was a difficult time for most of us, but kids with cancer who were confined to hospital, were affected more than most,” Sienna said.
“They were unable to leave the hospital nor had the opportunity to spend time with family and friends,” she said.
There has been strong community support, with Bunnings Dural recently joining local businesses for a barbecue to raise funds. Pictured from left; Nikola Bratkovic, Sienna Arena-Milne and Holly Lawton.
The fundraising efforts will culminate in a Masquerade Charity Dinner on Saturday 17 September at The Dural Country Club.
