Police Officers attached to Kuring-Gai Police Area Command arrested 72-year-old Keith Lees at a property on Kenthurst Road, Dural at about 8am on Thursday 2 January 2025. He was wanted on an arrest warrant for an alleged murder in Queensland 27 years ago.
The warrant was issued in July 2023 in relation to an alleged murder of Meaghan Rose in 1997 on the Sunshine Coast.

It was a podcast listener who provided the breakthrough to Police enabling them to find and arrest Keith Lees. Police first visited a unit block in Hornsby. A neighbour knew the man police were looking for as David Japaljarri.
