Why do I care what you think of me? Why do I care whether you like my profile pic, or latest post, my Insta live feed.

Why do I care whether you think I’m attractive, popular, successful?

Why do I care whether my fashion, my car, my house, my possessions make me look good?

Really, who am I trying to impress? Who am I hoping to convince? Why do I seek your affirmation? Your encouragement?

Why do I fear your opinion? Or want to fit in? Why do I want to be part of the ifeed.n group, the popular party?

You, who have been on earth but a few short years. You who are clothed in skin just like me. You who have the same fears, the same needs, the same limitations!

I am a child of the most high God. I am chosen to be a part of God’s eternal family. That’s right the creator, the alpha and omega, the beginning and the end. The one who spoke all life into being and gives breath to all on earth right now.

Why do I fear your opinion over my creator? Who are you but a mere man. Another fellow wanderer and journeyman just like me.

Lord, give me the boldness, the courage, the audacity to pursue you over the distractions of earth. The opinions, the trends, the thoughts, the views, the popular, and empower me to seek truth.

May I be a pleasure in your eyes Lord, may I receive your admiration and affirmation. May I one day walk before you and hear the words, welcome my good and faithful servant, join me at the table.

May I pray for others who have read this to receive the same revelation.

Revelation 22:12-15 “Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done. I am the Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city.”
