Glenorie Probus Club in keeping with its objectives of varying its activities visited Warrah Special School and Biodynamic Farm in Dural.
This was established in the 1960’s on a 30 acre bush block with academic and occupational programs for children and adults with handicaps. Subsequently living quarters with 12 bedrooms was added and it now caters for students from kindergarten to year 12 and adult residents.
An organic garden was established to provide motivational work and fresh produce. This is now the Warrah Biodynamic Farm and a range of crops are now harvested to sell in the Farm shop as well as being used in the Sch. Following talks by school staff a very enjoyable lunch was had at a nearby spot.

The meeting then considered a number of the years forthcoming activities and it was agreed this year looks another exciting year. A trip to the Zig-Zag railway is planned. The Parramatta Rivercat is set down for an outing , along with a lunch cruise on the Lake Macquarie and these are just some of the club’s forthcoming activities.
