Turon Avenue Reserve BMX Track Resurfaced for Faster, Safer Rides

The Turon Avenue Reserve BMX track in Baulkham Hills has reopened after a major upgrade, and local riders have wasted no time putting it to the test.

Resurfaced and reshaped, the track now offers a smoother and faster ride, with refreshed jumps, rollers and flowing sections designed to suit a wide range of abilities. Beginners can focus on balance and confidence, while more experienced riders can pick up speed and refine their technique.

Members of the Castle Hill BMX Club were among the first to try the upgraded layout, giving the track an early workout. The response was enthusiastic, with riders praising the improved surface and the course’s overall flow.

Mayor of The Hills Shire, Dr Michelle Byrne, said it was great to see the track come back to life so quickly.

“This upgrade is all about giving our community fun, free spaces to get active, and there’s nothing better than seeing local riders straight back on the track enjoying it,” Mayor Byrne said.

“BMX tracks like this are incredibly popular with young people and families, and it’s great to see Turon Avenue Reserve back in action with a track that’s safer, more fun and built to last.”

Tara Cochran of the Castle Hill BMX Club said the new, upgraded track was a great facility, not just for BMX riders but for anyone who loves getting out on two wheels.

“Pump tracks like Turon Avenue Reserve are fantastic because they’re free, accessible and can be enjoyed by BMX riders, scooter kids and skateboarders alike,” Ms Cochran said.

“This upgrade gives our riders another high-quality, local track where they can build skills, confidence and enjoy BMX in a safe, modern space.”

Located within Turon Avenue Reserve and close to other park facilities, the BMX track has become a natural gathering point for families and riders alike. The upgraded track is now open and free for community use.
