SYDNEY HILLS GYMNASTICS – LEAPS INTO COMPETITIVE SEASON ON A HIGH

Sydney Hills Gymnastics achieved excellent results at Acrobatic Gymnastics & Men’s Artistic Gymnastics Senior Trials 1 held this weekend 15th and 16th February at Sydney Gymnastics and Aquatic Centre.

The MAG squad impressed the judges with Tom Zurcher coming 1st overall in the Level 7 Under 13 division, Lucas Engesser coming 1st overall in the Level 7 Open division and Daniel Chalabov 1st overall in the Level 8, Under 14 division.

Club’s graceful acrobats wowed the judges and the crowd with the club’s Level 7 Women’s Trio Celine Hernandez, Demi Varcoe and Marcie Parkinson coming 1st overall with their entertaining and challenging routine.

“This is a fantastic start to the season for our athletes. Our athletes and coaches have been working hard and their efforts are paying off. A huge thank you to all the athletes, coaches, parents, volunteers and supporters as well as judges on the day Sasha Kazhamiakin, Alexey Korovin and Rajesh Malik. We look forward to an exciting season ahead.”, said Vassili Trofimov, Head Coach and Director of Sydney Hills Gymnastics.

The teams are back in training preparing for the rest of the 2020 competitive season.

Sydney Hills Gymnastics has been serving the Hills community since 2012. With two venues one in Castle Hill and the other in Bella Vista, their motto is “Keep Fit, Make Friends, Have Fun.” They encourage innovation and artistic expression in a fun and nurturing environment for both kids and adults. Offering recreational and competitive gymnastics, they offer classes for kids from 2 months to 18 years of age.
