The confidence and stability inspired by her will forever be remembered.
An opportunity to honour the Queen’s passing was arranged by the Glenorie RSL subbranch. It was a pleasure to join community representatives at the Cenotaph and reflect upon her extraordinary reign.
Earlier in the week I was provided an opportunity to inspect the progress of the Galston Aquatic Centre. A perfect storm of COVID, wet weather and supply issues had not only delayed construction, but almost suspended all activity. To the credit of our Council project manager and the construction contractors, every possible job has been advanced where materials were available. With most issues now resolved, things have begun to move along again. The estimated completion time remains at mid next year.
MORE RELIEF FOR FLOOD AFFECTED REGIONS
Federal and State Government collaboration has resulted in a further funding package being released that stands to support our primary producers. The Critical Producer Grant Program has been announced by the relevant Ministers with more detail available at – nsw.gov.au/criticalproducergrant
Don’t forget fire season is once again approaching. Rural residents should contact and consult with your local Rural Fire Service shed. The RFS have tips and details on how to best prepare your property and how to reduce the risks.
On a final note, it appears that the work being carried out in Galston Gorge is on track, with the reopening still expected to be the advertised date in October.
As always, happy to be contacted and to assist with any issues. My details are Ph: 0499 004 861 | E: [email protected][/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
