Residents are invited to review and comment on concept designs for a proposed shared cycleway and pedestrian path along Rickabys Creek, with Hawkesbury City Council opening the project for public consultation.
The proposal outlines a new off-road shared pathway along Rickabys Creek, intended to improve safety, accessibility and connectivity for pedestrians and cyclists across the Hawkesbury.
The shared path would also provide an off-road active transport link between Richmond and Windsor, supporting both recreational use and everyday travel.
The concept designs have been prepared in line with the NSW Government’s Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants Program funding requirements.
Council advises the designs will be further refined during the detailed design stage, subject to additional investigations, transport approvals, site constraints and more detailed cost estimates.
Community input will be considered as the project progresses, helping to ensure the design responds to local needs and priorities. The Cycleway Bridge over Rickabys Creek project is funded through the NSW Government’s Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants Program.
The concept plans and an online feedback form are available at https://www.yourhawkesbury-yoursay.com.au/rickabys-creek. Hard copies can also be viewed at the Council Administration Building, 366 George Street, Windsor, between 9 am and 4 pm, Monday to Friday, until Thursday 12 February 2026.
Written feedback can be submitted by email to [email protected].
