Arcadian Quilting News

One of the perks of the school holidays is that some grandparents get to ‘dog-sit’ … in our case any one of our family’s favourite hounds.

Each lovable pet (in turn) brings along their own routine, their food, bedding and their happy companionship which we enjoy immensely!

They also bring discipline, good behaviour and obedience (impressive from our point of view).

However a dog’s ‘help in the garden’ is questionable as cheeky lizards can be seen as SPORT?

Patchwork Quilt in Arcadian Quilting News

Quilting requires a level of routine and patience. My favourite travel-rug is this old Post and Rail lap quilt, having seen many miles and survived many uses!

The ordered pattern of Post and Rail often becomes the go-to pattern (in any colour combination) for a quick quilt as a ‘gift’ perhaps during these chilly winter months.

Our group will continue to create warm winter quilts which we give to our various Charities, you never know when someone in need …”could do with a hug” !!

Keep warm, be cosy in a friend’s good company and let’s keep DOING THINGS TOGETHER.

We meet on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Wednesday of each month at 9.30 am. Our venue is the Community Hall, The Glade, Galston.
