Hornsby Shire Council is very happy to announce the completion of access improvements to the pathway around Lower McKell Park, Brooklyn, linking Brooklyn Baths with Parsley Bay.
The completed 2-metre-wide sandstone-coloured concrete footpath is already being well used by both locals and visitors to the area and further upgrades at Lower McKell Park are due to commence shortly, including:
- Universal access and new accessible facilities in the existing amenities building
- Universal access to the Brooklyn baths
Please note that a short-term closure of the amenities building (male / female facilities at different times) will be required as these works progress. Provision of temporary toilets will be made for park users.
The works were funded by the NSW Department of Planning and Environment Public Spaces Legacy Program grant
