Lining Up for Another Great Year at Arcadia Pony Club

Arcadia Pony Club welcomed back both old members and new at our 2018 registration and rally day on Sunday 4th February. It was great to catch up with friends and ponies after the Christmas break – and it was clear from their bellies that some ponies definitely needed to get back into pony club after some good Christmas grass!

A big thank you to our returning and new Committee members for 2018 Committee, especially to our new president, Julie Parker. Our committee and instructor panel certainly have an exciting year planned at Arcadia Pony Club.

We hold our regular rally days on the first, third and fifth Sunday of each month. Rally days are otherwise known as “training days” where all of our members have the opportunity to train across dressage, jumping (showjumping and jumping equitation), cross country, sporting, mounted games, show riding, eventing and others.

We hold our “closed competitions” throughout the year which are open to our members only – these will be held in the second half of the year to allow our members plenty of time to train. These competitions include combined training/one day events, show riding, dressage, show jumping and sporting.

There are also our Zone level competitions, some of which are hosted by Arcadia Pony Club at our wonderful grounds at the Rural Sports Facility in Galston. These include show jumping, equitation, show riding, one day event, mounted games and team sporting and dressage. And of course we can’t wait for our Zone 23 end of year Jamboree in November!

In addition to our training and competitions, our members also appreciate the horsemanship and educational aspects of learning at Arcadia Pony Club. We assist our members in completing their PCA NSW certificate work from our youngest riders to our senior riders. And we will also be focused on providing an increased number of information talks this year from both instructors and external speakers to provide members and parents with riding and horse care tips and learning opportunities.

Join us in 2018 for fun, friendship and competitions

Arcadia Pony Club has a “come and try” programme for riders aged between 4 – 25 years with their own horses or ponies where you can come along to a Rally Day and gain some riding instruction, meet new friends and have a lot of fun.
