Excellent ‘hands on’ learning goes way beyond the classroom at Arcadia Public School. Term 3 saw our students fossicking for gold at Hill End, working together, thinking critically and having a fabulous time while they were learning about our country’s history.
Learning together was important in Term 3 as we joined with our Small School Learning Alliance partners – Hillside PS and Middle Dural PS at Annangrove PS for an outstanding Writer’s Festival. Three renowned children’s authors, David Legge, John Heffernan and Lesley Gibbes immersed the students in storytelling, illustrating, poetry and the magic of crafting writing. An incredible day!
Real life leadership skills, planning, reflecting and working effectively together are skills that start from Kindergarten. Term 3 saw Kindergarten and Year One harvest a bumper crop of leafy greens – active learning, healthy eating and caring for our school garden, a great result!
