Early Childhood Teacher Janine Frost is the creator and founder of ‘Kookaburra Cottage Family Day Care’ which is a new and innovative childcare service situated in the heart of Galston. Traditionally, family day care is based in an educator’s home. However, Kookaburra Cottage is a free standing, purpose built service situated on 1.7 acres. The benefits of this are that the children have the opportunity to revisit and extend on their previous ideas as the environment is exclusively theirs. Importantly, it also provides a sense of belonging for the children and their families. The service is extensively resourced and provides quality care and education for children between the ages of 2-5 years.
Holding a Degree in Early Childhood Education (Birth to Five Years) together with 26 years’ experience in the Early Childhood profession Janine has combined the positive attributes of Preschool and Long Day Care together with the long -established benefits of Family Day Care to create a unique and homey childcare service to the Hills District. Janine holds a current Asthma, Anaphylaxis and First Aid Certificate and a current Working with Children and Police check.
