Kangaroo Point to Brooklyn Public Boardwalk

© Hornsby Shire Council

Construction is currently underway on the main structure of the public boardwalk, with plans to have the new Seymours Creek bridge installed by the end of December. A significant section of the concrete shared path has already been finished.

This newly designed elevated boardwalk and pathway will extend approximately 1km through mangroves and bushland, providing beautiful scenic views and a tranquil retreat into nature.
Once complete, the 3km shared path from Baden Powell Avenue to Kangaroo Point will create a fantastic walking and cycling facility for the community and visitors to the area.
The project is due for completion by Autumn 2025 (weather permitting), helping locals and visitors alike enjoy outdoor activities, like hiking and cycling to enhance overall health and well-being.
Work on the project began in July, and significant progress has been made on both the boardwalk and the concrete shared path. We’re working hard to ensure the route has minimal environmental impact, particularly to the intertidal zones and mangroves.
