Round Corner Dural Probus Club

Members of the Round Corner Dural Probus Club have enjoyed a month packed with travel, culture, and fascinating discussions. Thirty members recently embarked on a memorable trip to Jindabyne, where they stayed in lakeview accommodation and savoured daily three-course meals, all while exploring the scenic Snowy Mountains.

The itinerary included a visit to Cooma to learn about the ambitious Snowy 2.0 project, a modern engineering marvel, followed by excursions to Thredbo and Perisher. Lucky members were greeted by a light snowfall, enhancing the region’s alpine charm. A gondola ride offered panoramic mountain views, while local museums and lookouts provided insights into the area’s rich history and stunning landscapes.

Back at home, the club’s monthly meeting featured a thought-provoking presentation on the pros and perils of Artificial Intelligence, sparking lively discussion among attendees.

The club’s social outing this month took members to Sydney’s King Street Wharf, where they joined the Naval Historical Society of Australia for a three-hour harbour cruise. The tour explored the Royal Australian Navy’s history, from its beginnings in 1788 to its role in World War II, highlighting key sites from Dawes Point to Watson’s Bay.

Round Corner Dural Probus Club meets on the second Monday of each month at 9:30 am at The Galston Club.
