Hello Residents,
Tackling Stormwater
For years, parts of Galston, particularly Glen Street, The Knoll, Gardiner Road and The Glade have struggled with stormwater, particularly during periods of heavy rainfall. At a recent community gathering, these issues were discussed. Council presented a way forward, including the upgrading of drainage systems and the clearing of blocked stormwater flow paths.
While challenges still remain, these efforts signal a clear intention to mitigate flooding and to protect the homes of residents impacted. The community feedback is appreciated and has been integral in shaping these solutions.
A New Off-Leash Dog Area in Fagan Park:
A Win for Dog Owners Exciting news for dog owners with the opening of a new off-leash dog park. This addition will serve as a safe and vibrant space for dogs to roam freely while promoting community connection among local residents.
The park is designed with functionality in mind, featuring shade tree planting, seating areas, dog-friendly water stations, and secure fencing.
These features aim to create a welcoming environment for both two-legged and four-legged visitors. The new park will complement the existing recreational spaces in Fagan Park, providing families with another reason to get outdoors and enjoy the beauty of Hornsby Shire.
