The much-loved Inala Fair is back this October, bringing a full day of fun, food, and family entertainment! With market stalls, live performances, one-of-a-kind arts and crafts, pony rides, and delicious food, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.
A highlight of the local calendar for over four decades, the Inala Fair is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our extended community. Visitors can enjoy a glimpse into the incredible work and artistry being nurtured at Inala, a charity founded in 1958 that provides high-quality support for individuals with disability through accommodation, day services, and community programs.
One of the highlights of the Fair is the display of one-of-a-kind arts and crafts created by the people we support in Inala’s vibrant creative day programs. These programs not only give participants an outlet for expression but also allow them to showcase and sell their work.
“The Inala Fair is a chance for us to open our gates and share the extraordinary talents of the people we support,” said CEO Alexandra Davis. “It is always a joy to see the pride on participants’ faces as they present their creations. The Fair also provides vital support for Inala. The NDIS does not cover the cost of all the services needed, so fundraisers like the Fair help us bridge the gap and ensure each individual receives the supports and services they deserve.”
This year’s Fair will host an array of market stalls selling jewellery, plants, gifts, books, and sweet treats. Families can enjoy pony rides and children’s activities, while bargain hunters will find treasures at the White Elephant, upcycled clothing boutique and second-hand book stalls. A wide selection of food stalls, including a homemade cake stall, will ensure no one goes hungry.
Also keep an eye out on the main stage for a glimpse of Inala Patron and Entertainment Guru Richard Wilkins.
For the past two years, Inala has been grateful for the support of Hornsby Council through its Community Event Grant Program, which helps reduce the costs of running this large-scale community event.
“The Hornsby Council is proud to support Inala to present the much-loved Inala fair through our Community Events Grants Program. Inala is a well-known local community organisation, and the Fair is a wonderful event that brings the Hornsby community together in support of a worthy cause.” – Hornsby Mayor Warren Waddell
Parking at Inala is limited, so visitors are encouraged to use public transport where possible. Conveniently, Inala is located directly opposite Cherrybrook Metro Station, making it easy to attend and enjoy the day.
