IGA takes Galston to Canberra

24 Swimmers arrived at Galston Pool in the dark on the Friday morning, and boarded their 27 seater bus, headed to The ACT “State” titles. This was double the number that qualified last year. IGA at Galston had kindly sponsored the trip. Over the weekend, the swimmers performed amazingly with the following standout performances. Jye McLachlan received Gold for 100 Breast, and Bronze for 200 Breast. Olivia Charlton got a silver in the 200 Back and a bronze in the 100 back. Hunter McEnnally got a bronze in the 400 IM and his sister Morgan got a bronze in the 200 Breast. We now have the NSW Short Course State Championships coming up, then the Long Course season begins again. The Galston Swimming Pool will reopen 18 September, just in time for the season. What a great time for any new swimmers to start their swimming career.
