The 29th National Disability Ten Pin Bowling Championships have just been held at Rooty Hill, Sydney.
The Hornsby Rockets Disabled Team had 16 bowlers in the competition, which were part of the 400 bowlers who came from all over Australia.
The “Rockets”, as they are affectionately known, came home with 4 gold, 12 silver medals and 1 trophy.
The NSW State Restricted Team which included local Arcadian resident Natham Constable (Hornsby), as well as Karina Peters (Hornsby), Warren Seymour (Hornsby), Tim Wilson (Hornsby), Ben Barber (Hornsby), Reanna Skora (Illawarra), Renee Waters (Illawara) and Bradley Aranda (Campbelltown) bowled extremely well and were just piped at the post to come 2nd.
Whilst, the NSW State Open Team which included Adam Mandarano (Hornsby), Shelton Farmer (Gosford), Kallan Strong (Gosford), Stephen Warren (Gosford), Waldemar Szcygiel (Campbelltown) and Glen Corbett (Shoalhaven) were strong enough to receive gold.
Natham Constable won the title of National Champion in the Masters Restricted Division.
This is a first for the Hornsby Rockets!
All Hornsby Rockets bowled extremely well and should be very proud of their achievements.
