Mayor Philip Ruddock cut the red ribbon this morning (Tuesday 8 February) to officially re-open our beautifully upgraded and reimagined Hornsby Library.
The Mayor was joined for the ribbon-cutting by excited Hornsby Library staff and Councillors Janelle McIntosh, Sreeni Pillamarri, Sallianne McClelland and Nathan Tilbury.
Moments later, Library staff we’re welcoming back our loyal patrons to enjoy a host of superb new features including a dedicated children’s area, a spacious quiet-study space, more room for computer sessions and more power-points for laptops and devices.
The beautifully reimagined Hornsby Library brings the whole community together in comfort to access information online, collaborate and create, the innovative design uses space and light to reframe its entire identity.
The $4.7 million Hornsby Library upgrade was funded from development contributions, the Public Library Infrastructure Grant program and external grants from The State Library of New South Wales.
