Jim and Riva Dale, owners of Geranium Cottage, together with their chef, Paul are creating fresh, home-cooked meals for the convenience of the residents in our community.
Geranium Cottage owners and staff pride themselves on using the freshest ingredients to create home-cooked cottage style meals. Regulars to their cafe can still enjoy the meals which have traditionally been offered in their cafe but are now prepared, packed and frozen for convenience. Along with their favourites some new winter warmer meals, such as slow-cooked brisket, stews and a variety of soups have been added to the menu. These meals, made daily, can be picked up or home-delivered. Because the meals are frozen, customers are tending to stock up so that they have an ongoing supply of wholesome and nourishing food. In particular, elderly customers and carers of those unable to shop are appreciating this readily available supply of delicious frozen meals. As with all cafes and restaurants, Geranium Cottage had to reinvent their business overnight. Their new model has been so well received that they plan to continue the frozen meal service, along with regular table service, once the Covid-19 restrictions have been lifted.
