A Fresh New Look for Hillside Public School

Hillside Public School in Glenorie has received a vibrant new look, thanks to a generous grant from the Galston Community Branch of Bendigo Bank.

The funding, provided through the 2025 Community Grants Program via the Community Enterprise Foundation, has enabled the school to upgrade its signage and community facilities, creating a fresh, welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Principal Koula Neorcsik and the Hillside Public School P&C Association played a pivotal role in securing the grant. The improvements include bright, new signage at the school’s entrances and freshly installed blinds in classrooms, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that reflects the pride of the school community.

“Enhancing the school’s visibility and environment not only supports learning but also strengthens our connection with families and the wider community,” Ms Neorcsik said. “We’re incredibly grateful to Bendigo Bank for its ongoing support of local schools.”

Nestled on Cattai Ridge Road amidst picturesque bushland, Hillside Public School hosts a range of community events throughout the year. The school prides itself on combining strong academic programs with leadership opportunities, STEM initiatives, arts, and sports, demonstrating that small schools can provide big opportunities for every child to thrive.

With these upgrades, Hillside Public School continues to set a standard for community-driven success, showing how partnerships between local organisations and schools can have a lasting impact.
