I recently had the honour to host our local High School Student Leaders for Lunch at Parliament House.
Students from Asquith Girls’ High School, Asquith Boys’ High School, Hornsby Girls’ High School, Galston High School, Northholm Grammar School, Pacific Hills Christian School, Cherrybrook Technolology High School, Tangara School for Girls & Barker College accepted the invitation to visit Parliament House and viewed the proceedings of the Parliament from the public galleries.
I valued the opportunity to hear firsthand from our school leaders about the issues of concern to them and their peers.
After lunch they visited Government House to meet with Her Excellency, the Governor Margaret Beazley AC KC. As well as providing a personal view of how the Parliament operates, I hope it was an enjoyable experience before the serious work of study and exams begin.
