Hawkesbury Fest

By Sophie Poredos

CELEBRATING COMMUNITY THROUGH

Hawkesbury Fest is happening again this year during Local Government Week on Sunday the 4th of August, and it’s building up to be a fun family day out.

Local Government Week will be from Monday the 29th of July to Sunday the 4th of August and showcases the work that councils do in their local communities. The first Hawkesbury Fest was held in 2018 and has been recurring most years, highlighting how local councils impact the lives of residents on a meaningful level.

The event will include free face painting, rock-climbing and mini dog races open to the public, piquing the interest of young kids. Local live performers Nathan Martello, Olivia Dustman, Wil Linder and Mark Lucas will all be performing on stage proudly sponsored by .

Other entertainers include previous Big Brother contestant Farmer Dave and his ‘Temptation Alley’, where local dogs will be competing against each other. Vibrant Roving Entertainers will also make an appearance, with their creative costumes delighting all.
