When our members create such colourful and utterly charming quilts it’s a joy to share news articles within our local communities; what child could resist these cheeky Alpacas (photos below) or the colourful native birds.
Having the opportunity to donate such joy and caring to Women’s Shelter Housing, including safe family homes where often children are front and centre gives us deep satisfaction, knowing our contributions are working for others in need !!!
Our recent weather patterns continue to be dull and wet but joy and warmth await the lucky recipients of these beauties.
There is always so much to show, to share and to admire as quilts are completed by the busy hands and clever minds of the members of A.C. quilters – they get my ‘vote’ every time.
A.C. Quilters Brighten Shelter with Handmade Quilts
Our ‘members talk’ time-slot continues and at the last meeting we learnt about sewing from another point-of-view. On this occasion dressmaking was the beginning of a long shared love of sewing and creating.
After a working life in dress salons, the joy of sewing still remained and the A.C. quilting group gained another happy member.
We continue to meet at the Community Health Centre, The Glade, Galston.
