Australia Day at Bella Vista Farm
Glenorie RFB were excited to join the Hills District RFS vehicle display on Australia Day at Bella Vista Farm. There was an impressive display of firefighting vehicles, allowing visitors an up-close look at the equipment used in our firefighting operations.
Our members across the district engaged with visitors on the day, answering questions and offering valuable tips on staying safe during fire seasons. It was especially great to see many children exploring the vehicles while we had the chance to educate parents on the importance of being always being prepared for the bushfire season.
Training continues at Glenorie RFB
Firefighting training is continuing within our brigade. Glenorie RFB is undertaking village firefighting (VF) training which teaches our members essential skills for incidents such as structure and car fires.
This is a critical part of Glenorie’s training due to the wide variety of incidents we can get called out too. We are also currently training our bushfire fighting (BF) course at Glenorie station. This course teaches the essential skills to enable our firefighters to undertake bushfire fighting operations.
If you are interested in joining us, please come down to the station on Monday nights at 7.30pm or Saturdays at 2.30pm.
