As the dawn broke at the Glenorie War Memorial, we honoured our fallen and gave thanks for the freedom we now enjoy.
A big crowd of young and not so young, attended the Glenorie ANZAC Day service and I was honoured to speak and tell my story of Harry Preston, an 18 year old metal finisher from Bonnyrigg in Western Sydney who enlisted as a Leading Aircraftsman with the Royal Australian Air Force on 15th March 1944.
My appreciation to Graham Bruce, President of the Glenorie RSL sub branch and his team, for hosting this very special event.
