Vehicle fires
Galston FRB firefighters were quick to respond to two separate vehicle fires recently. The first being a car fire on Galston road, where they promptly extinguished the blaze and worked quickly to re-open the road. The second being a motorcycle fire at the top of the Gorge on the Hornsby side. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much left of the bike after they extinguished it.
Tree down in Gorge
While we’ve been relatively lucky with needing to deal with trees on fire so far this season, we did need to deal with trees on the road recently. Galston firies worked effectively to remove a tree that came down onto the Galston Gorge roadway the other weekend. While also providing contraflow for traffic until all lanes could be reopened.
