The NSW Government has fully closed Galston Road between Calderwood Road and Montview Parade from 8 pm Sunday, 11th January to 8 am Saturday, 14th February 2026 (weather permitting) for essential maintenance.
Work includes strengthening Tunks Creek Bridge, stabilizing slopes, and general maintenance such as asphalt replacement, guardrail repairs, verge works, gutter cleaning, and tree trimming.
A temporary site compound will be set up in the National Park. Detours will be signposted via Galston Rd, Old Northern Rd, New Line Rd, Boundary Rd, Pennant Hills Rd, and Pacific Hwy. Expect reduced speed limits, full-time road closure, and at least 30 minutes of extra travel time. Please follow all signage and directions.
