Community anger boiled over when Transport for NSW announced a further delay until 10th March on the closure of Galston Gorge.
Calls and emails to State Member, James Wallace and Hornsby Mayor Warren Waddell, produced an update from Transport for NSW on 21st February “Under the revised work schedule, the road will operate under single lane, traffic control during the day (5 am-8 pm), with a full closure in place at night to allow critical work to continue safely.
The adjusted program will involve 21 shifts of work, with the road expected to fully reopen to normal traffic conditions by Tuesday, 17th March, weather permitting”.
Let’s hope they stick to the 17th March re-opening!
