Galston Concerts Presents Clarinet and Piano Recital

On Sunday, 22 February, Galston Uniting Church will become a gateway to Europe’s rich chamber music traditions when Galston Concerts presents a clarinet and piano recital at 2 pm.

The afternoon performance pairs two musicians whose careers reflect both depth of study and breadth of experience.

Kimberley Steele’s path has taken her from Canberra to Budapest and back again. A graduate of the Liszt Academy of Music, she has built a reputation as a collaborative pianist of precision and sensitivity.

Her achievements include major Australian university scholarships and prizes, concerto performances with the National Capital Orchestra, and frequent appearances in recitals and on broadcasts. She continues to shape the next generation of performers through her leadership role at Radford College.

Milan Kolundzija

Clarinetist Milan Kolundzija represents a new wave of Australian classical musicians forging dynamic careers across performance and education. After graduating with First Class Honours from the Australian National University, he has appeared with orchestras across the country, including the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra and the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra. His selection for the Canberra Symphony Orchestra’s Kingsland Fellowship further underscores his standing within the profession.

The upcoming recital promises a repertoire that travels musically from France to Hungary, exploring the expressive range of clarinet and piano in an intimate Hills District setting. For local audiences, it is a chance to experience performers whose careers extend well beyond the quiet surroundings of Galston.
