I was excited to receive an update on a Council project that is underway to deliver a “Children’s Forest” in Fagan Park. This new play space is not your traditional kid’s playground. It integrates living trees with trees houses, canopy walk and tree climbing, making it a more natural experience.
I was very pleased to help fund this unique project with a half a million dollar contribution from the NSW Government towards what will offer a special children’s play experience when it is ready by the end of the year.
As part of the final stage of the redevelopment Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital, I am ecstatic to announce that renal dialysis is now available at the hospital. I know how important it is to have this life-saving treatment available locally as patients that require it on a regular basis are no longer forced to travel to other hospitals across Sydney. This makes a significant difference to both them and their families.
I continue to be asked by many residents about the much needed widening of New Line Road. Please be assured that this remains my number one priority.
Last year I delivered $70 million to fund stage one, and the preparation for the work to the section between Hastings Road and Purchase Road is well underway.
I will continue to advocate for New Line Road to be upgraded from the roundabout at Dural all the way to Castle Hill Road.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
