Hornsby Shire Council’s Food Truck Fridays came to Galston on Friday 12th April, after being postponed from the previous week due to the terrible weather conditions.
The trucks were set up in the Galston Recreational Reserve next to the Aquatic Centre, and we were spoilt for choice with a selection of six different food and beverage options.
Cuisine types ranged from German Bratwurst, Greek, Japanese, and Burgers with yummy donuts and ice cream as well as a pop up bar. Entertainment was provided by a DJ and then the fabulous vocals of previous The Voice contestant, Dani Da Ros accompanied by her guitarist.
Families brought picnic blankets or sat around on the chairs and tables provided by council, or the existing Picnic tables in the park. It was such a lovely, happy and safe environment for young and old and was very well attended throughout the evening.
The Food Truck Fridays have been travelling around the Hornsby Shire for the past couple of years, however this is the first time they have come to Galston. Let’s hope it won’t be the last!
