Stop the Gridlock: MP Launches Petition to Fix New Line, Kenthurst and Annangrove Roads

Thousands of families, tradespeople, and commuters across The Hills are calling for urgent action as traffic congestion on New Line Road, Kenthurst Road and Annangrove Road reaches crises point.

In response, local MP Mark Hodges has launched a petition urging the NSW Government to prioritise funding and upgrades for these key transport corridors.

With booming population growth in surrounding suburbs — including Kellyville, Box Hill, The Gables, Rouse Hill, Stanhope Gardens, Riverstone, and The Ponds — the existing infrastructure is failing to keep up. Peak-hour gridlock is stretching travel times, creating safety concerns, and impacting resident’s quality of life.

“The Hills is growing faster than our roads can handle. Families and workers are stuck in traffic every day because the infrastructure simply hasn’t kept pace. This community deserves more than delays and excuses — we need the NSW Government to step up and deliver the investment we urgently need,” said Mr Hodges.

The petition calls for a clear commitment from the NSW Government to invest in the planning and construction of road upgrades that reflect the population explosion in Sydney’s northwest.

Residents who use these roads are encouraged to sign and share the petition. Every signature strengthens the case for urgent action.
