Norwest Lake is a serene oasis nestled amidst the bustling urban landscape. However, its tranquil beauty hides a delicate ecosystem that requires our protection.

As a private property owned by the strata of the adjoining properties, Norwest Lake is a sanctuary for various wildlife, including a charming family of Black Swans. These majestic birds have recently welcomed four adorable cygnets, adding to the lake’s natural charm.

Unfortunately, the swans have faced threats in recent years. They have become entangled in fishing lines, requiring rescue by local wildlife organizations. To prevent further harm to these protected species and ensure their well-being, fishing in Norwest Lake is strictly prohibited.

Let’s all work together to preserve the natural beauty of Norwest Lake and protect its inhabitants. By refraining from fishing, we can contribute to the safety and well-being of the Black Swans and other wildlife that call this lake home.

Causing harm to Black Swans, which are protected under law, can result in penalties of up to two years imprisonment. Let’s be responsible stewards of our environment and respect the wildlife that share our space.
