Saturday 2nd August saw the Ferry Artists farewell their home and gallery of more than 20 years with a final exhibition and sale, as well as drinks and canapes for members, artists and guests.
In her farewell speech, President Carol Gill said, “We are not saying goodbye to the Ferry Artists as a group. We are committed to the community and will still be around promoting our artists – whether this be via Pop Up Exhibitions at the Community Centre or St Albans Markets.
Our vision of creating an arts and cultural centre at Wiseman’s Ferry is still alive. As they say, ‘One door closes and another one opens’.
